Quizzman1. Scope
This policy explains how Quizzman uses cookies and similar storage technologies on quizzman.com and services under the quizzman.com domain. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy and Data Privacy & Security policy. The cookies present depend on the service, features you use, and whether you are signed in.
2. Cookies and similar storage technologies
A cookie is a small piece of data stored by your browser that may accompany requests to a matching domain and path. Cookies can maintain a signed-in session, remember preferences, or protect a service.
Some Quizzman services also use localStorage, sessionStorage, and browser caches. These differ from cookies: localStorage generally persists across browser sessions; sessionStorage belongs to a browser tab's session; caches help resources load efficiently. Data saved locally is not automatically synchronized with your account.
3. Essential sign-in and operational cookies
Quizzman ID uses the following cookies to provide sign-in and account access:
id_at: maintains access on id.quizzman.com; the current configured lifetime is 1 hour.
jwt_token: provides access to Quizzman services; the current configured lifetime is 1 hour.
refresh_token and id_sid: refresh and identify sessions on id.quizzman.com; the default configured lifetime is 90 days.
qm_rt: supports access renewal through the /oauth/token path; the default configured lifetime is 90 days.
qm_id: helps the interface recognize signed-in status; the default configured lifetime is 90 days. It does not replace access authorization.
qm_sso_return: remembers where to return after sign-in for up to 15 minutes; oauth_resume: supports resuming an OAuth sign-in flow for up to 10 minutes. These cookies may be cleared earlier when the flow completes.
Quizzman ID cookies may be restricted to id.quizzman.com; some access and status cookies are shared within .quizzman.com to support services across the ecosystem. The main authentication cookies use HttpOnly to restrict direct JavaScript access; security settings also use Secure and appropriate SameSite attributes.
Lifetimes may be renewed when a session refreshes. A session may end earlier when you sign out, revoke it, clear cookies, or when security measures apply. Your browser's site-data settings show the actual expiry date.
4. Preferences and data stored on your device
The shared interface uses qmf-theme to remember appearance, qmf-lang and qm-lang to remember language, and qmf-lang-src to remember the source of the language choice. Their current configured lifetime is 365 days and may be renewed when you change your choices.
Services may save interface and language preferences, such as qmf-theme and qmf-lang, or state needed for features you use. Quizzman Books stores some reading preferences, reading positions, and bookmarks in the current browser. This data is not automatically shared between devices or all subdomains.
localStorage has no automatic browser-level expiry. Data may remain until you clear site data, a service updates or removes an entry, or the browser clears it. sessionStorage generally ends when the tab's session closes. Caches are managed by the browser and individual services.
5. Infrastructure providers and external content
Quizzman uses Cloudflare for delivery infrastructure and access protection. When the relevant security features are enabled, Cloudflare may set cookies such as cf_clearance to remember a completed access check, or __cf_bm to help identify automated traffic. According to Cloudflare's documentation, __cf_bm expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity; other cookie lifetimes depend on the feature configuration.

Some pages, including the homepage, integrate Google AdSense. When advertising code loads, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads and limit fraud. Cookie types, retention periods, and personalization depend on the product, settings, and choices applicable to you.

You can manage Google advertising choices at https://myadcenter.google.com/ Turning off personalization does not block every ad or delete all cookies; you can also use your browser's blocking and site-data deletion controls.
If you use an external sign-in provider or load embedded third-party content, that provider may process data and use cookies under its own policy. Opening an external link takes you to a service managed by that provider.
6. Your choices and controls
You can view, delete, or block cookies and site data in your browser's privacy settings. To clear data across the ecosystem, check quizzman.com and each subdomain you have used. Deleting only cookies may leave localStorage, sessionStorage, or cached data intact.
Deleting or blocking essential cookies may require you to sign in again or disrupt account features. Clearing local data may remove preferences, reading positions, or bookmarks saved only on that device. It does not automatically delete your account or data stored on our servers.
Technologies used solely for optional analytics or advertising are distinct from storage supporting sign-in and functions you request. For technologies requiring consent under applicable rules, continuing to browse or dismissing a notice does not constitute consent. This policy page does not replace accepting or rejecting through a choice tool provided by the relevant service.
This policy is an information page; opening it does not change your cookie settings. You manage data through your browser and any separate controls offered by the relevant service.
